Punchy (ビンタ, Binta) is a cat villager in the Animal Crossing series with a lazy personality. His name may come from the word "punchy," which means being groggy or dazed from a series of punches. His catchphrase is the sound of shrugging combined with sighing, which relates to his lazy personality. His picture quote from Animal Crossing: Wild World also relates to his personality, known for being laid back. Punchy was featured on the cover of Animal Crossing, in the upper window on the side with Mitzi, another cat villager.

Appearance

Punchy is a black and white lazy-eyed cat with purple eyelids and yellow eyes. He resembles Tom, Rover, and Moe. He also has whiskers and a small, but nice smile. His expression gives a big hint that he is a happy character. He wears a cherry top, which reflects on his personality, which involves a love for food. In Animal Crossing: City Folk and Animal Crossing: Wild World, he wears a grey tartan shirt.

As a lazy villager, Punchy will be easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he shares a love of food and relaxing. When asked to purchase clothing for him, he may mention a superhero-like name "Fashion Lad". Fashion Lad is mentioned by most lazy villagers when talking about fashion, in a way stating that the said Fashion Lad is the villager complimenting his own fashion skills. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food such as fishing. He will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a conflicting lifestyle of exercise and fitness, compared to the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food.

House

In Animal Crossing: City Folk, Punchy has "K.K. Love Song" playing on a stereo. His house contains the Blue Bed, Blue Bench, Blue Table, and Blue Cabinet from the Blue Series and he has two gold-econo chair placed near the northernwest corner of his house. Lastly he displays the Refrigerator, Stove, and a House Plant. Punchy has the Mod Wall and Blue Flooring for wallpaper and carpet.
