Maelle, pronounced "My-Ell" (アンヌ, Anne), is a snooty duck in the Animal Crossing series. In Doubutsu no Mori+, Animal Crossing and Doubutsu no Mori e+, she is an islander. She reappears in Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk, where she is a villager. The name, "Maelle" means "ambitious", a trait known among snooty villagers who wish to become famous or rich. Her initial phrase, "duckling", reflects on her species. Her picture quote may relate to when she lived on the island.

Maelle is a yellow duck with a bright red beak and webbed-feet. She wears green eyeshadow and maintains a lazy eyed expression. In Animal Crossing she wears a red aloha shirt, like other female islanders. In Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk, she wears a heart shirt.

Maelle has a snooty personality, which means she will appear arrogant and snobbish towards the player and other villagers. She may appear friendly in some discussions, provided they do not insult her lifestyle. She finds appearance important and will get upset if someone criticizes her sense of style or fitness, which means a conversation between her a jock personality may leave either one upset or angry. She also may not get along with lazy villagers due to their conflicting lifestyles - lazy villagers having a strong interest in food or relaxing of which will make her uncomfortable, angry or upset when in conversation. She will upset peppy villagers, usually by gossiping about them, and finding small things to judge them on. She will get along well with normal, cranky, and other snooty villagers. Her attitude toward the player softens as she begins to know the player, but she will still retain some arrogance and subtle rudeness. Maelle can also spread rumors about villagers and other players calling them a "bell pincher" or "broke joker" in some cases.

In the first Animal Crossing, Maelle's house has an island look.

In Animal Crossing: City Folk, the music that is playing in her house is called "Café K.K." She also has Parlor Wall, Ceramic Tile, a Birdcage, a Lovely Kitchen and Bed, and a Cream Sofa. She has a Petal Parasol, a Classic Buffet, a red quinoa and a Pink Grid Shirt.
