Villager (むらびと, Murabito) is a playable character in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

On June 11, 2013, Nintendo revealed their new Super Smash Bros. video game for the 3DS and Wii U at E3 2013, showcasing three new characters, one being the default male character in the Animal Crossing series - the "Villager."[1]

On May 16, 2014, three new character costumes were revealed for the Villager, including two female skins.

Appearance

The Villager is a boy with brown hair, wearing a red shirt with a light-blue number "1" printed on the front. This is the same appearance as the male player on the cover of Animal Crossing: City Folk.

Moveset

The Villager's in-game moves include:

  • The ability to attack other players using a net
  • Trapping opponents in pitfalls
  • Chopping down trees to cause damage
  • He can also fight using balloons in a style similar to Balloon Fight
  • The ability to use boxing gloves and fireworks.
  • The ability to use a gyroid as a rocket
  • The ability to use a sapling in a pot to attack opponents
  • The ability to store incoming projectiles in his pockets.
  • The ability to use a shovel on opponents, which then buries them.
