Nintendo Co., Ltd. (任天堂株式会社 Nintendō Kabushiki-gaisha) is a Japanese video game company headquartered in Kyoto. Founded in 1889 by Fusajiro Yamauchi, Nintendo began as a producer of hanafuda cards. Throughout the 20th century, the company entered various industries before starting to develop video games in the 1970s. Nintendo went on to gain international success with the release of the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1985 and became one of the most successful video game companies in the industry, developing franchises such as Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing and Metroid.

Club Nintendo
Club Nintendo was a Nintendo reward system where users inputted codes included with Nintendo games and consoles to receive Coins (known as Stars in Europe). Coins could also have been earned by completing surveys. These Coins were then able to be traded for a variety of prizes, including Animal Crossing-related merchandise.
My Nintendo
Launched in 2016 as the successor to Club Nintendo, My Nintendo is a loyalty program that uses Gold and Platinum Points received from purchasing or registering Nintendo games and using Nintendo services to purchase various rewards, including wallpapers, printables, digital game guides, and software discounts.
