The Festive Season is the time between December 15th to January 6th in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. During the event, cedar trees will be decorated and can drop ornaments.
Event[edit]
At the start of the event, Isabelle will make a special announcement, pointing out the decorated trees and sending each player a seasonal DIY Recipe. More recipes can be acquired by shooting down balloons, or from villagers crafting in their homes. As of the New Horizons 2.0 update, DIY items from the Festive Series work similarly to the Spooky Series; i.e. if a villager is crafting an item from the series, they will not give the player a duplicate DIY card, opting instead to give the player 3 ornaments of a random color.
During the event, players can obtain red ornaments, blue ornaments, and gold ornaments, by shaking decorated cedar trees. The ornaments can be used to craft Toy Day DIY recipes.
