Welcome!
Welcome and thanks!
Hey! I'm Kevin, a staff member. Just wanted to formally welcome you, and thank you for your contributions so far. If you ever need anything or have any questions, feel free to ask me or any other staff members - you seem pretty well off already, though :) Cheers, ~SuperHamster Talk 21:09, September 5, 2013 (EDT)
Trustee
Hey again - just a heads up that I made you a Trustee. Awesome edits so far; it's great to have a new, highly productive user around here. Given time, I can definitely see you receiving more tools and joining our staff team, especially as editors become less active as New Leaf's hype slowly dies down. Cheers, ~SuperHamster Talk 01:50, September 10, 2013 (EDT)
I agree with SH, you've been doing a very nice job. I hope I haven't made you think that I dislike your work by editing it a lot as I do really like what you've been doing to contribute. Just doing an admin's job. Keep up the nice work!--XXSuperXXNintendoXx (talk) 15:28, September 10, 2013 (EDT)
Hi!
Hey Mario! I just want to help you out here, you seem to be all alone working yourself out, so I wanna help! Baby Luigi (talk) 21:52, September 20, 2013 (EDT)
- Okey dokey! Hmmm, how about you get some songs of each hour in Animal Crossing? I know my uploading is a bit spotty, but I did 1 A.M., 9 P.M., and 3 P.M., and I'm about to do 10 A.M. So... maybe you'll do 11 A.M.? MarioTalk to-a me! 21:55, September 20, 2013 (EDT)

Delete Requests
Hey Mario, I am mlnintendo97, an Administrator here on Nookipedia. You have done great edits on our articles, but when you put a "{{delete]]" notice on an article, you have to put into context as to why that article should be deleted. Could you possibly add it in and tell us why? Thanks for the edits so far and keep up the good work! ;) -mlnintendo97 21:05, September 21, 2013 (EDT)
- Thanks. In other wikis, there is an additional parameter to fill in for the reason for the delete. I couldn't find one here, so I'm not entirely sure where to put it without cluttering the article, and the edit summary, I feel, isn't sufficient enough for a reason to delete, but you will find my reasons for deletion usually in the edit summary. For the pages related to Look, I put it in because they're extremely short articles that don't really hold up to their own, and they would be better off as separate. I'm not sure what other delete templates I placed, but I will provide a reason if there is seemingly no reason for the delete. MarioTalk to-a me! 21:16, September 21, 2013 (EDT)
Thanks a Lot!
Hey, Mario, I am SupremeBlisseyFan, and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your recommendation to create a spot-the-differences table on the Forged Painting page. Congratulations! You have been granted patroller permissions as a result of your successful staff application. Feel free to add yourself to the patrollers page. Please let SuperHamster or myself know if you need any help using your new tools. :) --Jake 15:52, October 23, 2013 (EDT)

Hey Mario!
Hey Mario! I am TheMayorOfGregburg, and I became a user of Nookipedia 2 days ago. I heard you were once apart of the Super Mario Wiki. I'm a user there, and I recently joined Nookipedia because I wanted to be apart of a smaller community, and to learn more about Animal Crossing. I hope we can become good friends, and maybe share friend codes with each other sonetime. TheMayorOfGregburg (talk) 16:17, October 24, 2013 (EDT)
- Yep! My town's Gregburg! I joined Nookipedia because the SM Wiki has so many people. This place could use me a lot more. Every time I want to edit or update something on there, it would already be done, so hopefully I get a chance to edit more here. TheMayorOfGregburg (talk) 17:54, October 25, 2013 (EDT)
- That's so true. I did so much editing this past summer, and all I get are notifications saying that I need to contribute more. It's not like my career is editing the Super Mario Wiki. I'm just glad I'm here now. TheMayorOfGregburg (talk) 19:30, October 27, 2013 (EDT)
I know the SMW is trying to keep everyone active in editing the more important stuff, but they can overreact at times. They have so many people they can rely on, and not everyone has the time to look for errors and find something they can improve. Some people don't even have editing experience. I remember when I first joined and I knew nothing about editing. I remember them telling me I was making to many errors on articles and I edited my user page to often, and that they would block me and such. They didn't care about me being there only a week! By the way, sorry for making you wait a long time for me to reply. TheMayorOfGregburg (talk) 15:46, November 2, 2013 (EDT)
When I first joined the Super Mario Wiki, I actually put my user page on my discussions page by accident. I did edit my discussions page quite often, and then I got some warnings about to many edits on there and making to many mistakes on articles. Over the past summer, I did a lot of editing for the SMW. I did some major projects with a couple guys, and my article and talk page edits were about the same. Still I kept getting warnings that half of my edits were talk pages, and that just ticked me off. They can't focus on how much I've contributed. I always responded back when getting a warning, but they said if I didn't deserve it, I had to appeal it. I never learned the process of appealing, and I still don't to this very day. After getting another warning in October, I decided I needed to leave and join this place. I had my mind set on this place a couple months before coming here as well. I'm happy to hear that this place is much looser on things. BTW, I got my Dream Suite on Sunday! You can check out my Dream Code on my user page. That is me.
Yes that is me, but the password I made for it I'm getting wrong somewhere and I did not set up a e-mail address for it and I didn't think that the one I used to sign up with would work, plus because I'm using a 3ds 99% of the time and yahoo uses flash program for the e-mail I rarely can get on the account anyway (I barley get a opportunity to use a computer). While I used the same e-mail address to make this account I plan on setting up the my preference with a different e-mail so this won't happen again (this one works on the 3ds, but I only found it like yesterday or so). If I could have the other account working so I can use that one instead I would prefer that, so if there is something that can be done can I have help with that. P.S. Congrats on getting the higher status. P.S.2 What does the "purge" button on some of the pages do?TrainerXY493 (talk) 17:19, October 24, 2013 (EDT)

Why I Did That Edit
Look, I know you are going to hate me, or even kick me out, for that edit, but I only did it because the category would soon be unused as a result of Uchi being moved to tomboy. That's what they normally do on other wikis; or is there a policy that no pages, even spam-related, should be deleted? UxieLover1994 (talk) 00:10, March 2, 2014 (EST)
Forum Bank
Sorry for asking such a pointless question but, do you have any idea about what the bank on the forum does? I can't see any use for it at all. Red Snapper 12:00, May 9, 2014 (EDT)

Endless Uploading of Images
Question regarding capitalization (and more)
In article sections (such as the one I used for this post) what are the rules for capitalization? Is every major word capitalized? Or just the first word and proper nouns?
EDIT: Oh and I wanted to know whether the wiki is planning to include pages on each individual piece of furniture as suggested at Nookipedia:Project Furniture? Additionally, I have the guide to Animal Crossing and was wondering if you guys would be interested in furniture images if I were to scan them? If so, what size should they be and how/where should I upload them? --Sunmarsh (talk)
If the first word in a furniture name isn't capitalized in-game(such as the blue chair), then the first word should only be capitalized when it's at the beginning of a sentence. If one word or more in a furniture name is capitalized in-game(Such as the Gracie bed or the Ten Billion Barrel), then the capitalized word(s) should always be capitalized.(I'm not sure if it should be like this...)

Image Assistance
Hey Mario, I'm having some trouble with uploading images of the Alpine Series from the e-guide to the wiki. Whenever I upload them, the final result appears distorted and different from its appearance before I upload it. If you need to see an example of what I mean, look at the file of the alpine bed that I just uploaded. I cannot seem to figure out a solution, so I figured you could help me. Project Furniture
Please may I join the furniture project? Also, due to their status as highly-visible templates (at least in the future), should the recent "Color" (Red, Orange, Colorful etc.) templates be semi-protected? Red Snapper 12:02, July 29, 2014 (EDT)
Space theme
Wouldn't it partially completed? I'm pretty sure the previous entries use the exact furniture but for the sake of consistency, I'm leaving it like that. But how will you determine its status? -Baby Luigi(Talk to me?) 20:45, July 30, 2014 (EDT)
- BTW, you should mention in your rules about me. -Baby Luigi(Talk to me?) 20:46, July 30, 2014 (EDT)
- Generally, if it has information from all games it has appeared in, it can be moved from the "Incomplete" category to the "Just needs images" table. It would be preferable that we obtain images from the original game (depict the items in a "natural" setting), and if we can, it would be great. Also, I will mention you in the rules, now that you're asking for it. ™ 20:50, July 30, 2014 (EDT)
Mira the Sailor Venus Bunny
Mira is DEFFINATLY a referance to Sailor Venus because
- She's yellow and Sailor Venus is blonde.
- Her boots, mask, and gloves are orange, which is Sailor Venus' signiture color.
- Her mask has a striking resemblance to the Sailor Venus' mask during the time she was Sailor V
- Mira is named Mirako in Japan, which is VERY similar to Minako (Sailor Venus' name)
- Her starting shirt is rather similar to that of Sailor Venus' fuku
- Her home is full of Astro furniture. First it is Orange and White, which is the color's of Sailor Venus' fuku. Plus Astro is a space theme.
- In Japan her catchphrase references the moon
- The Sailor Moon series was inspired by the legend of the Rabbit of the Moon
- The creator of Sailor Moon is Naoko Takeuchi
- The Red Star on the back of her head is similar to Venus' bow.
So I think this should be mentioned on her page. Sailor Mercury (talk) 22:06, August 3, 2014 (EDT)
- I think you're overthinking it quite a bit there. Especially the "creator" part here. No references here are explicit, and you can draw connections to almost anything if you really tried, kind of like some Nostradamus-related crap people have been connecting a bit recently. This is more likely a coincidence. I've looked at pictures of Sailor Venus, and Mira looks hardly anything like her. ™ 15:56, August 22, 2014 (EDT)
Actually I think Mira is actually a reference to Sailor Venus. She might not look like Sailor Venus but some of the stuff mentioned above is actually a reference to Sailor Venus. --108.40.165.47 19:15, August 24, 2014 (EDT)
- How? It sounds like you're drawing connections when they don't exist. This isn't convincing me. ™ 19:50, August 24, 2014 (EDT)
Well I actually WATCH Sailor Moon, and all these similarities are too much for it to be just a mere coincidence. --Sailor Mercury (talk) 20:37, September 22, 2014 (EDT)
- Are you sure about this? We need some serious proof before making this edit, although they are very similar.--Marcus (talk) 09:10, October 4, 2014 (EDT)
- They are similar two each other as much as Kirby is similar to Dr. Shrunk because they're both round and pink and like eating. ™ 02:26, October 10, 2014 (EDT)
I agree with Marcus. They are very similar. Sailor Mercury is right because she watches sailor moon. You(mario) don't think its a reference probably becuz u don't watch and I actually watch so I think its a reference but I don't wanna banned and... i don't what else to say.... --50.136.149.237 11:39, December 20, 2014 (EST)

Question
Hello Mario, I just had a question about the furniture. Can you change the Spa Set to the Public Bath Theme again? I just realized that it's always been called Public Bath Theme in Wild World, City Folk, and New Leaf never the Spa Set, same goes for the Creepy Set. Template Troubles
I'm having some problems creating a new template for the new 'Furniture Colors' pages. Do you know how to solve them?
- On the template page, the template displays fine, but on the List of red furniture items and List of orange furniture items pages, it appears glitchy!
- How is it possible to create text that both links to another page and is of a different color to the default? The template looks a little bland otherwise.
I'm inexperienced at creating templates, so any help would be much appreciated. Cheers, Red Snapper 13:13, September 16, 2014 (EDT)
- Wish I had seen this earlier! If you still want to do this, you can color hyperlinks by placing immediately before the link text and immediately after it.
- Example: [[List of green furniture items|Green]] becomes Green --sunmarsh (talk) 00:46, October 1, 2014 (EDT)

- But it is boring. I've played Pokémon X/Y after years of losing interest after HeartGold, and I almost fell asleep. Not my favorite RPG anymore, no way. ™ 15:49, October 24, 2014 (EDT)
- Pokemon is the stupidest game I have ever played. It makes no sense, everybody in the game are dummies, and it is the worst Nintendo franchise. EVER.-- 21:38, October 27, 2014 (EDT)
- That's a bit harsh even though I kind of agree. Still like some Pokémon designs though! :) ™ 23:26, October 27, 2014 (EDT) Yeah, the designs are kinda sweet. I STILL DON'T LIKE IT THOUGH 23:48, October 27, 2014 (EDT)
- In the case of other franchises I like (Yu-gi-oh, Dragon Quest), the opinions from others don't matter. But Pokémon is the second biggest Nintendo franchise (after... sigh... Mario, but this is because Pokémon requires thought. Any old fruit can jump on a mushroom), and these opinions enrage me even more. NO VIOLINS 13:39, October 28, 2014 (EDT)
- It's the second biggest, but that doesn't make it any good, as I view it as a beaten-down cash cow with generally unspectacular spinoffs that do little to refresh things, unlike Mario, the other cash cow favorite. Mario games also require thought too, and arguably, it's even more demanding than Pokémon's not-very-engaging battle system. Every other great RPG I can think of have a much better battle system, like Tales of Symphonia, Baten Kaitos, Fire Emblem, Persona, Final Fantasy, Xenoblade, and, I daresay, the Mario RPGs. They are more engaging and more demanding. Pokémon compared to those just looks stiff, lifeless, and outdated. Additionally, Game Freak has little regard for balance and ease into the competitive scene as they continue piling convoluted game mechanic over convoluted game mechanic while trying to emphasize on the "casual" things like contests, happy Pokémon, Pokémon ami/friend thing. So, to sum things up, Pokémon is a mess of a game that has lived way too long in the past. ™ 20:20, October 29, 2014 (EDT)
- Pokémon is a more strategic game. The only thought required in Mario is... I actually can't think of anything, the game's so simple. No way do Final Fantasy or Mario have better battle-systems than something like Pokémon or Dragon Quest (the other games I have never played). Being victorious in Pokémon does require plenty of brain power and time, but if you're not happy with that, then don't play online (single player is very easy). The extra mechanics are added to keep the series alive. NO VIOLINS 08:36, October 30, 2014 (EDT)
- There is thought required in a Mario game. Pokémon is more strategic, but strategy and thinking in general are two different things. In Mario, you have enemies to avoid, you need to make sure you land properly on the enemy, you have to time your jumps properly, you have to make use of the powerups to get through, and you have to explore a bit to ensure 100% completion, and just general platforming. Mario also demands more from you as it isn't turn-based, so it requires quick reaction times and good judgement. Those two RPGs, from Mario and Final Fantasy do have superior and much more engaging battle systems than Pokémon, albeit Mario's is quite simplistic; Pokémon's battle still look like the old Final Fantasy games, and makes it look lifeless. Pokémon still battles on raised discs between each other; Pokémon X and Y made things much better by adding actual attack animations and made actual contact and faint animations, but that's not enough to make the battles look engaging. Final Fantasy has nearly done this since it first was there. Hell, even Dragon Quest beat Pokémon when it comes to actual attacking animations. The only other RPG game that compares to Pokémon is probably the Mother games.

- Pokemon is the stupidest game I have ever played. It makes no sense, everybody in the game are dummies, and it is the worst Nintendo franchise. EVER.-- 21:38, October 27, 2014 (EDT)
- Sometimes, simplicity is the best way around when to comes to games. Pokémon, sadly, has become one of the most convoluted games with unnecessary depth and game mechanics such as the IV system. Being victorious in single player takes little thought; just grind and memorize type combinations. That's really all to it. Sadly, the best part about Pokémon is the player to player battles and the interaction between other players, but that's bogged down by the crap game mechanics. The additional game stuff aren't even expanded upon; they're just ditched the next game and are overall forgettable. Those that are recurring (like MegaEvolutions) burden the already-convoluted game further by pandering to every player, more to the less competitive players, and the kitchen sink. If I don't like, I won't play it, that's true, but it's not going to make Pokémon's flimsy structure any better. ™ 15:46, November 1, 2014 (EDT)
Pokemon is more fun because I don't like the Super mario games. I used to play them when I was younger(maybe when I was 9 or 7 or something like that) but now I think they're boring. --50.136.149.237 20:17, January 9, 2015 (EST)
