I know the Japanese name can be interpreted multiple ways, but I am pretty sure this character's name (Werudan) is supposed to be Weldon (as in well-done, because he's a bull), not Verdun. ウェルダン literally means well-done, and if you look it up you get steak. Also, Weldon is a real name. And it makes a lot more sense than Verdun, which is only the name of a battle site in France. Chubby Bub (talk) 01:48, February 12, 2021 (EST)

It looks like it was an intentional pun, which got mistranslated by fans as "Verdun." If it was meant to be "Verdun," it would most likely be spelled as ヴェルダン like on this Wikipedia page.
