Soundscapes (known as sound sceneries in Happy Home Designer) are a gameplay element in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise that allows the player to add ambient sounds to the houses they design, and, in Happy Home Paradise only, the houses on their island.

In Happy Home Designer[edit]

In Happy Home Designer, the player unlocks sound sceneries by using the Happy Home Handbook and paying 2 Play Coins.

In Happy Home Paradise[edit]

In Happy Home Paradise, after the player finishes the 17th vacation home, the player will find Wardell on the top beach on the main archipelago island to learn seven new soundscapes. The player can find him again near the same spot after completing the 25th and 33rd vacation home to learn 16 more additional soundscapes for a total of 23 different soundscapes.

The player can use soundscapes when designing either their own house, a villager's house, a vacation home for a villager, in the Room Sketch app, or in Photopia.

The sound effect is composed of light winds in the air. 17 houses

Forest
The sound effect is composed of winds with occasional owl noises in the air. 25 houses

Jungle
The sound effect is composed of crickets humming and birds chirping. 17 houses

Cave
The sound effect consists of water dripping. 33 houses

Wind
The sound effect consists of heavy winds. 17 houses

Rain
The sound effect consists of rain. 17 houses

Storm
The sound effect consists of rain with occasional thunder. 33 houses

Rumbling
The sound effect consists of shaking rocks. 33 houses

Park
The sound effect consists of people playing, dogs barking, and birds chirping. 25 houses

City
The sound effect takes place in a city with occasional car noises. 25 houses

Chatter
The sound effect is composed of talking noises. 25 houses

Cheering
The sound effect including people cheering and clapping, with an occasional whistle being blown. 25 houses

Train
The sound effect takes place inside a moving train. 33 houses

Construction
The sound effect consists of a jackhammer noise with cars passing by and some cars reversing. 25 houses

Alley
The sound effect consists of a ventilator, occasional dog noises, and car noises. 33 houses

Factory
The sound effect consists of robotic machinery. 33 houses

Space
The sound effect is composed of various Sci-Fi sounds. 17 houses

Cyber
The sound effect consists of various futuristic sounds. 33 houses

Healing
The sound effect is mostly synthesized, consisting of several notes being placed one at a time. 25 houses

Creaking
The sound effect includes a creaking noise. 25 houses
