Before you upload, please read our Upload Policy to ensure your file is appropriate to upload. The Help page contains further information and instructions about the upload process and how to use files on pages.
For image files, please review the naming guidelines below to ensure your image is correctly named. More detailed information about naming conventions can be found on Project Images.
- Naming conventions for images
If you get stuck or your image doesn't fit any of these guidelines, no worries - just upload with a descriptive title you see fit.
- Sprites, renders and artwork
- For item thumbnails and UI icons use the format: "[name] [game abbreviation] Icon"
- Example:

- For inventory UI icons use the format: "[name] [game abbreviation] Inv Icon"

- For everything else use the format: "[name] [game abbreviation] [descriptor]"
Appropriate descriptors can include "Artwork", "Model", "Render", etc.

- Using files on pages
To include a file in a page, use a link in one of the following formats:
[[File:File.jpg]]
to use the full size file[[File:File.png|200px|thumb|left|alt text]]
to use a 200-pixel-wide left-aligned thumbnail with "alt text" as the caption[[Media:File.ogg]]
to create a direct link to the file without displaying it on the page

- Personal images
Up to five images not relevant to the Animal Crossing series may be uploaded for personal use on your user page. Exceptions to this limit may be granted with the permission of a bureaucrat. All personal images must be tagged on the file description page with the Personal Upload template. Nookipedia staff reserve the right to remove personal images at their discretion without notice.
