Turnips are an item in every first-generation Animal Crossing game. These items are edible, and can be eaten by the player.

Turnips can be obtained from Joan on Sundays from 6 AM to 12 PM in bundles of 10, 50, or 100 for between  70 Bells and  129 Bells per turnip. On Mondays through Saturdays, they can be sold at Tom Nook's store for between  8 Bells and  1,032 Bells per turnip; there are two sell prices each day, and it changes at 12 PM. If they are not sold, they turn into spoiled turnips at 6 AM on the next Sunday.
