The iQue Player[nb 1] is a version of the Nintendo 64 released in China by iQue in 2003. The console is contained entirely within the controller and features a system on a chip based on Nintendo 64's CPU. The iQue Player has a library of 14 Nintendo 64 games that were translated to Chinese, including Dòngwù Sēnlín, a port of Doubutsu no Mori. In addition to being translated, Dòngwù Sēnlín features numerous localization changes.
The games on the iQue Player were exclusively distributed digitally and are stored on a removable memory card. Initially, games could only be downloaded to the system via iQue Depot retail kiosks, but in 2004, the iQue@Home service was launched to allow users to download games to the system from a personal computer via a desktop application.[1] iQue@Home was discontinued in 2016.
Animal Crossing-related games[edit]
Released in June 2006, Dòngwù Sēnlín was the last game released for the iQue Player.
