The Golden Axe is a tool item in Animal Crossing. It is unbreakable, unlike the normal Axe, which can only be used 72 times. The Golden Axe does not appear in Doubutsu no Mori, where the normal axe is unbreakable.
The Golden Axe can only be obtained after having maintained a Perfect Town environment status for 15 days straight. Upon achieving this, Farley will appear at the Wishing well to grant the Golden Axe to the player (or, in Doubutsu no Mori+, the bell shrine itself will grant it). If the player tries to sell the Golden Axe to Tom Nook, he will refuse to take it.
