Twiggy (ピーチク, Pichiku) is a peppy bird villager who appears in all games from the Animal Crossing series. Her name probably came from the fact that birds use twigs to build their nests, or maybe she was named after the model Twiggy, who was nicknamed 'Twiggy' because of her physique. Twiggy can be spotted on the cover of Animal Crossing: City Folk. Her Japanese name is the Japanese version of "chirp" or "tweet".

Appearance

Twiggy is a canary, a type of bird. She is mostly yellow with blue blush cheeks. Twiggy has green at the tips of her wings and a green and blue tail. Her feet are orange with green stripes. She has beady black eyes, and her eyebrows slant down, making her appear constantly angry. Twiggy initially wears the barber shirt, which is stiped blue, red, and white, like a barber's pole.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the peppy personality. For more information, click here.

Twiggy, as a peppy villager, will always appear to be in a good mood. She will get along with other villagers including the player, making it easy to befriend her and gain her picture in Animal Crossing: Wild World. She will enjoy the usual hobbies, and may ask the player for bugs or fish that she finds cute. She will easily get upset, but due to a short attention span she will forget ever having the conversation. Like all peppy villagers, she dreams of becoming famous in the future and reads Ms. Nintendique, an unseen magazine read by snooty and peppy villagers in Animal Crossing: Wild World. She will get on well with normal, lazy, jock and other peppy villagers, but may annoy snooty and cranky villagers with her upbeat personality.

House

Twiggy has many pieces from the blue series. She may also collect many different types of furniture, like a small bear and maybe a plant. The music that plays in her house is called K.K. Calypso. She also has a few gyroids.

Trivia

  • Twiggy's Japanese name, Pichiku, may be a reference to the famous Pokémon mascot, Pikachu, both having yellow fur or feathers and noticeable cheeks.
