Donating to the museum
In New Leaf
Upon donating a Sea Slug to the museum, it can be found in the large pool in the first room of the sea exhibit, along with many other species of sea creatures. It is found near the entrance of the exhibit. The exhibit has this to say about the Sea Slug:
"Although they have no shells, sea slugs are more closely related to spiral shells than anything else. Their vivid colors and patterns and variety of shapes and sizes make them popular with divers. Sea slugs are hermaphrodites, so they are all capable of mating with one another, regardless of gender."
In New Horizons
When donating to the museum, Blathers will say the following:
"Imagine, if you will, a land slug...but one dressed in frilly attire full of bold colors, stripes, and spots! That is the sea slug, a gastropod that looks ready to walk the red carpet...or perform beneath a big top. But these clowns are no laughing matter, eh wot. Their garish colors and wild patterns warn predators to steer clear of their stinging, toxic taste. And THAT is how you dress for success, as they say!"
It can then be found in the coral reef tank.
Fishing Tourney
In New Leaf
During a Fishing Tourney, Chip will accept sea creatures; however, they will not be scored. Chip will say the following when given a Sea Slug:
- "From what my excellent sources tell me, you CAN eat boiled sea slugs, though some are still poisonous. Yeah, I...I don't think I'll chance it! Besides, who wants to eat a SLUG?"
