Gullivarrr is a special character who shares strong similarities with Gulliver. Starting in the 1.3.0 Free Summer Update, a seagull that looks suspiciously similar to Gulliver can wash ashore dressed as a pirate captain. He refers to himself as the Dread Pirate Gullivarrr and will ask the player to retrieve his communicator, rather than communicator parts, that is located in the sea and must be retrieved by diving with a Wet Suit. Once the communicator is found Gullivarrr will contact his pirate crew, and the next day the player will receive a letter from Gullivarrr containing an item from Pirate Series or article of clothing.
Despite the names, appearances and predicaments being similar between Gullivarrr and Gulliver, Gullivarrr doesn't recognize the player even if the player has already met Gulliver. It is possible that the two are still the same character, as Gulliver is known to be forgetful, and has been described as having "a bad case of the forgets" and having "the teeeensiest bit of amnesia" in the descriptions of his Super Smash Bros. trophies. Another theory is that Gullivarrr and Gulliver are separate characters entirely.
