The faux-shearling boots can be obtained during the winter from Mabel before building Able Sisters, or from the shop once it has opened for 1,600 Bells.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Clyde, Eunice, Flurry, Hans, and Sprinkle. In addition, the item can be used to change the clothing of the player either during or after the designing process for screenshot purposes.
