Trivia

  • C.J. mentions having a male partner who is an artist that specializes in models of bugs, a detail suggesting it could be Flick. The nature of this partnership is unclear, though, in the affectionate way he speaks of him, it is widely speculated to be romantic. It should be noted that the term "partner" is an umbrella term, and is only used in the English localization.
  • C.J.'s name may stand for "Chip Junior," which would put him in a similar position to Daisy Mae of being related to the character he replaces.
  • When visiting the player's town chip mentions his grandfather showed him the ropes of fishing but never was able to do it. This further suggests that Chip and C.J. could be related.
