The Animal Crossing series doesn't have an official canon, and the games have little to no story anyway. Plus, this template is only used on a handful of pages, and when it is, it's always in the "Other appearances" section. I think most people would be able to assume that cameos, references, and crossover appearances likely aren't a part of the series' story (if there even is one), and it's not our place to speculate as to what is canon or not, since no official Animal Crossing canon exists. ~ AlexBot2004 (Talk) 16:50, September 26, 2020 (EDT)
- Support I agree that the distinction between canon/non-canon isn't particularly clear, nor do I think it's a distinction that is relevant to most readers. At the very least I'd love to remove the borders this template generates on the sides of the content as it's very distracting. (talk) 12:38, September 29, 2020 (EDT)
- Support Agreed with everything that's been said, it's a distracting template that I don't think provides much value to the reader. ~SuperHamster Talk 23:47, October 1, 2020 (EDT)
