Nintendo Shirt[edit]

If you look at this image:

His shirt says "NTDO" which is a short way of spelling to Nintendo. Pokebub 02:21, 23 May 2013 (EDT)

It even says 1889, the year Nintendo began. SplatNerdBekahboo (Talk) 11:51, April 7, 2020 (EDT)

Rewriting and Expanding...[edit]

So, it says here on the article that the section about the player characters' appearance needs rewriting and expanding to include info about New Leaf and onwards, can anyone give me more info on what info is needed? Thanks in advance, Meganium39 (talk) 04:59, June 5, 2021 (EDT)

I think the main issue here is that the Overview is not very organized or coherent in the way that it talks about the player and the changes that have gone into their design. For example, the first line states that they are "short and stubby", and then concedes that the design changed starting in New Leaf. Generally, articles should reflect up-to-date information, and so the description of the player should match their current design in New Horizons.
So, to answer your question, the Overview should either describe the player as they currently exist, and move all information on previous iterations to their respective sections under 'Appearances', and/or it can attempt to succinctly summarize changes to the player model over time (e.g. "The current player model, introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, is taller with longer limbs, while retaining its oversized head and cartoon-like facial features present in previous games.") I've been taking a look at the section of the article that needs rewriting, and I agree with Sunmarsh for the most part here. The current version is very jumbled and doesn't have a specific flow to it. I also personally think that talking about characters like Mom and Dad isn't necessary, as they're only related to the Player, and are otherwise only mentioned in letters that they send. I think the best way to rewrite the section would be a paragraph or two explaining what they physically look like. I would say one paragraph to explain their physical appearances from City Folk and before, and then another paragraph to explain the major changes introduced in New Leaf and New Horizons. Other than that, though, I'm not sure if there would be really anything else to add. Zuruisandesu (talk) 18:26, October 15, 2021 (EDT)
