Terraform[edit]
Yes, I have been attempting to change the word "terraform" to something more accurate. The word "terraform" has a very specific definition, as I outlined in my initial edit: To make a planet or moon have Earth-like atmospheric conditions. This is not something done in the Animal Crossing games. Another user has been attempting to uphold using incorrect terminology for some reason. For the benefit of accuracy in the wiki, I believe we should use more accurate terminology. - unsigned comment from Archrid (talk • contribs)
- This seems like a valid point. Is there any mention of the words "terraform" or "terraforming" in-game? If not, this should probably be changed. Drago (talk) 13:09, May 21, 2021 (EDT)
- No, it has not been used by Nintendo in any official media. They have used the term "landscape" to describe decorating areas, but usually it's something along the lines of just "Island Designer," or "Construction Permit," as seen in the February 20 New Horizons Direct. Edited to be more specific. - unsigned comment from Archrid (talk • contribs)
- In that case, I do think I would Support ditching "terraforming" as a terminology, but I would also suggest leaving the Terraforming redirect alone since that's what many people in the AC community would call it. -- PanchamBro (talk • contributions) 23:58, May 23, 2021 (EDT)
