Article concerns[edit]

I am the original contributor of the Lovely Phone guide.

The current version is incomplete and obscures the complexity of this unique feature of New Leaf.

Each player's daily poem will be determined based on the TPC color and astrology sign of the human avatar.

Removing the data collection portion deprives fans of seeing that the same poem can be given to different TPC colors and astrology signs on the same day.

It is also misleading to delete the Shogakukan source of the translated chart. - unsigned comment from 69.181.203.187 (talkcontribs)

Please remember to sign your posts with four tildes: ~~~~. You're more than welcome to make edits to the page to more accurately describe the luck functionality within the game and to properly site source material. We're all about documenting game-functionality, however the original text was written more as a research report instead of a description of in-game effects. If you'd like to preserve or continue this research effort you can document your findings on your personal userpage once you've created an account here. Comment[edit]

Take down my contribution to this article, which is almost all of it. I disagree with the severe editing made to this article, which I spent so much time gathering. If I had known someone would change it so much, I would have never contributed it here :( - unsigned comment from 69.181.203.187 (talkcontribs)

If you disagree, then you have to make your case here. You can always revert to your previous work if needed. Anyhow, editing a wiki comes with acknowledgement that what you edit can and will change, sometimes drastically. It's just part of the learning experience. Wait, are you the person who originally wrote Guide:Lovely Phone? I would like to thank you for your extensive contributions to the topic. The page can be seen in its last state before being trimmed severely here. I unfortunately had to argue that the page be deleted and some of its contents be moved in the talk page, and the more useful pieces of information has been integrated here or in other pages.
With regards to your comment in taking down and disagreeing on this "severe editing made to this article", contributing in a wiki both lets you sign off your work and relinquishes your ownership of said work. This is an unfortunate consequence of such collaborative editing, where editors are free to build on top of what previous editors have been written. Lastly, please consider creating an account so that your edits can be tracked across IP addresses. Much regards. Lucky Clovers NL Icon.pngDecomposer 07:31, March 2, 2021 (EST)

I had a question... I got the lucky phone a few days ago, and I was seeing if it was in the guide, but it wasn't? What the phone said for Aquarius fortune [11/17/24] Orange: "Your shopping luck is high! If you're going to sale, remember to warm up and stretch before going in!" White: "The item that will bring you luck today is.. some boots!" (This is my first time ever writing something on a wiki, so if I got something wrong, I am very sorry.ST4RC4T (talk) 09:27, November 17, 2024 (EST)

Villagers refusing to talk to player[edit]

Under the section for City Folk, it states that one of the possible outcomes of Katrina's fortune telling is that villagers will refuse to talk to the player. I'd never actually seen this one, so I did about 50 resets trying to get it to happen, and I managed to get all of the fortunes EXCEPT that one. Can someone verify if this is actually a possible outcome in City Folk? Alex Parpotta (talk) 08:44, February 3, 2022 (EST)

I've removed it for now (it can be added back in if verified). I've never seen it either, so it was probably a Population Growing only outcome. Drago (talk) Drago PC Villager Icon.png 10:45, February 3, 2022 (EST)

ACNH Friendship Luck section is inaccurate?[edit]

I was wondering whether the info on the friendship luck effect in NH is based on later research, or if it might just be a misinterpretation of the cited source. The article says that +1 or -3 friendship points are applied whenever you talk to a villager that day, but if I'm not mistaken, the source says that the points are only applied to one random villager immediately after you receive the fortune. The wording of "effective immediately after talking to Katrina" especially supports this interpretation, as this would be a redundant thing to mention for a persistent effect. Was this something that was corrected later by another source? ScalesInSweaters (talk) 18:36, October 10, 2024 (EDT)
