Updating this event?[edit]
Had a couple questions about updating this event
First, is "Garden Safari" actually the correct name? It would appear that this might only have been the very first event name, and it looks like in announcements for later ones, they're just generically referred to as "Garden Events" beyond their specific names. Should the title of this page be updated to reflect that?
Second, while this table is not yet up to date, all the events since Lottie's Wedding Expo have only included 2 flowers, one for each half of the event. It would appear that this is likely how this is going to continue. Is there a way to make the third flower spot optional, the way it looks like the Fishing Tourney table makes the fourth fish optional? Otherwise it looks like the template automatically tries to find an image that does not exist for "N/A" or a blank "flower3," or tries to fill in info if "flower3" is entirely removed. ~ Poppliopal (talk) 14:58, November 18, 2020 (EST)
- I can't comment on the event's official name as I don't play PC. If you have evidence/know that the event name is incorrect, feel free to propose a move using {{Move Request}}. I've updated {{GardenSafariHeader}} so that flower3 is now optional. If an event does not have a flower3, then do not include the parameter in the template call, or leave it blank (e.g. flower3= ). I've recently edited Garden Safari as an example. (talk) 16:10, November 19, 2020 (EST)
- Ah okay! And thank you for making that table change, it will make that look much better once the remaining events are filled in since there are many now that don't use that column ~ Poppliopal (talk) 03:02, November 21, 2020 (EST)
Lowercase?[edit]
Is the official name for this event "Garden Event" or "garden event"? The name source used on this page links to an official page that uses lowercase "garden event." It's maybe possible that uppercase is used in other locations somewhere officially, but I wouldn't know. Also within this page itself in the 5th sentence, lowercase is used. If it's predominantly (or solely) lowercase, the name should be moved from Garden Event to garden event, since other page names on the wiki reflect the proper capitalization. It looks like in-game notifications and actual gameplay also use "garden event," so I'm going to move the page to "garden event." The only instance of capital "Garden Event" I could find involved the planner, but the planner capitalizes everything. HylianAngel (talk) 02:19, April 2, 2022 (EDT)
