Time doesn't actually pass on these islands?[edit]

I saw someone claim that on boat tour islands, the time of day used for critters doesn't actually change, despite the visual passage of time. They noted that the time of day referenced for critter spawning is always locked to the moment you arrived at the island, regardless of what the sky looks like. From my own (anecdotal) experiences, this seems to hold true. I've visited a November island at least three separate times so far and attempted to catch a Blowfish after 9PM, but because I arrived at all those islands before 9PM, I couldn't catch one despite having caught likely 100 medium-sized fish total. I confirmed earlier by noting that, despite it being about 9-10PM, I spotted a Long Locust and a Common Butterfly on the Maple Leaf island since I'd arrived before 7PM. Is this enough to support an edit to the page? Has anyone else experienced this? Are there relevant datamining sources to check out? ScalesInSweaters (talk) 00:44, October 20, 2024 (EDT)

For reference, this is the comment I mentioned before. The comments seem to imply they learned it from others, so I figure this is a known thing. Is it not on here for lack of a credible source? I think it could fit into the category of "observable within the game itself" to not need a cited source if others can corroborate it. ScalesInSweaters (talk) 07:09, October 20, 2024 (EDT)
