The golden rod is a tool in Animal Crossing: City Folk. Compared to the standard fishing rod and silver rod, the golden rod has a larger catch area and an increased reaction time to pull back when fishing.
The golden rod can be obtained from Tortimer after the player catches all 64 fish.
