Ai (あい) is the main character in 🎬 Gekijōban Doubutsu no Mori, representing the player from the Animal Crossing series. Voiced by Yui Horie, she moves to Animal Village where she is put to work by Tom Nook, as in the early Animal Crossing games.
Characteristics[edit]
Appearance[edit]
Ai is a human girl with high red pigtails. She has large, anime-styled eyes that each have one small black eyelash. Unlike most player appearances, which normally have a red triangle for a nose, she has a small, round nose.
Ai wears a yellow bolero at the beginning of the movie, one of several possible starting outfits for the player in Animal Crossing: Wild World. She changes into other outfits during various points in the movie, such as a blossom shirt, a swimsuit, and a kimono designed by Margie.
Personality[edit]
Ai is a sweet and kind-hearted young girl. She is determined, searching for her "cherry pie" throughout the movie. Her best friends are Margie, Rosie, and Yū. She appears to be close with her mother as well, writing letters to her about important events that have happened. She is a little skittish at times, and she is also afraid of spiders, as shown in one scene where a spider lands on her face. She is also supportive of Margie and her dream to become a fashion designer.
