Animal Crossing Ahead, commonly abbreviated as AXA, is an internet forum and fansite for the Animal Crossing series. As one the first fansites for the series it was especially popular in its early days. It was founded by Nickolis in the summer of 2002 after breaking off from another fansite called Animal Crossing Online. The forums were originally located at the domain acforums.megadoomer.com. They grew in popularity for several years until declining due to multiple server problems and inactivity. On February 21st, 2009, a new look was released for the site, which featured the Bulletin Board as a news area on the front page of the website. However, the website and forum were completely shut down in 2015.
On February 27th 2020, Animal Crossing Ahead relaunched as www.axaforums.ca with many original users returning.
