Donating to the museum

In New Horizons

Upon donating the paper kite butterfly to the museum the curator, Blathers, will say the following:

"With its black-and-white-striped wing pattern, the paper kite butterfly is both elegant and pretty... PRETTY POISONOUS I MEAN! Hoo dear! Where as I? Oh yes...Event this butterfly's black-and-white-striped larva and little golden pupae are toxic to predators. Indeed, the paper kite butterfly's foul flavor is famous, and thus birds, in particular, steer clear of the fiends."

A Malar Tree Nymph

Idea malabarica, the Malabar tree nymph, is a large butterfly found in peninsular India that belongs to the danaid group of the family Nymphalidae. It is found in forest clearings and above the forest canopy.

Their flight is slow, weak and fluttery. They glide a lot, giving members of this genus the other name of paperkite.
