The yellow pumpkin is a cooking ingredient in Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduced in the 1.5.0 Fall Update. It can be used in place of Customization Kits to change the variation of items in the Spooky Series to Yellow. It is also used as an ingredient or secret ingredient for Franklin to cook the Pumpkin Pie dish on Turkey Day. The yellow pumpkin is edible and by eating it, the player will earn energy to be able to relocate trees or break rocks. Up to 10 of the item can be stacked together.
The yellow pumpkin can be obtained by picking a Ripe Yellow-Pumpkin Plant or from villagers who are either crafting a Spooky Series item if the player already knows the recipe or giving it as a award for offering a piece of Candy. Villager may also give the player an yellow pumpkin when exchanging ingredients during Turkey Day. Each yellow pumpkin sells for 350 Bells.
In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Boots, Coco, Dora, Groucho, Limberg, Lyman, Merengue, Patty, Rodeo, and Sylvana.
