Re-Tail (called R. Parkers in the Japanese version) is a store introduced Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It is run by Lisa and Cyrus. Re-Tail is one of the initial stores in the game. Instead of being located in the mall, like the majority of the stores in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Re-Tail is located within the village.

Features

A custom couch made using a player's design of Tom Nook

Lisa

The player is to sell any unwanted items to Lisa, fulfilling the role Tom Nook's shop used to. However, the player can also use the shop to sell certain items to villagers, similar to how they can during the Flea Market.

Kazio

For the first 7 days of the game, Kaizo will be sleeping at his desk, and the player will be unable to speak with him. Once the player has sold 100,000 bells worth of items to Lisa, has 100 pieces of furniture in and 50 pieces of clothing in their catalog, and been in town for over 7 days, Kaizo will wake up, and his services will be available. Through Kaizo, the player can make customized furniture using designs. The player can also use other items, such as ores to make custom items.

Trivia

  • In the Japanese version of the game, the name R. Parkers is supposed to be a pun on the word Alpaca, the species of Lisa and Kaizo.[1] However, since the Japanese language has one alveolar consonant in place for both "L" and "R", the name is "R. Parkers" and not "L. Parkers."
