The following is a list of sea creatures in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
The total number of sea creatures in New Horizons is 40, 10 more than the number of sea creatures in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Sea creatures that have been removed since New Leaf are the Clam, Ear Shell, and Horsehair Crab. Creatures new to the Animal Crossing series are the Dungeness Crab, Firefly Squid, Gazami Crab, Gigas Giant Clam, Moon Jellyfish, Mussel, Sea Pig, Sea Pineapple, Slate Pencil Urchin, Umbrella Octopus, Vampire Squid, Venus' Flower Basket, and Whelk.
While initially absent from Animal Crossing: New Horizons, sea creatures were added in the 1.3.0 Free Summer Update.
