Ruby (ルナ, Luna) is a peppy, rabbit villager from the Animal Crossing series. Her name refers to the gem ruby, since her eyes are a deep red. Her birthday is on Christmas Day and she first appeared in Animal Crossing: Wild World. She appears on the cover of Wild World.

Appearance

Ruby is an albino rabbit with white fur, red eyes, three freckles on both cheeks, and melon-pink inside her ears. Her initial shirt is a bunny shirt. It is based on her appearance as a rabbit.

Personality

As a peppy villager, Ruby will always appear to be in a good mood. She will get along with other villagers including the player, making it easy to befriend her and gain her picture in Animal Crossing: Wild World. She will enjoy the usual hobbies, and may ask the player for bugs or fish that she finds cute or has read about in Ms. Nintendique, an unseen magazine read by snooty and peppy villagers in Animal Crossing: Wild World. She will easily get upset, but due to a short attention span she will forget ever having the conversation. Like all peppy villagers, she dreams of becoming famous in the future. She will get on well with normal, lazy, and other peppy villagers, but may annoy snooty and cranky villagers with her upbeat personality.

House

Upon your first encounter with Ruby, she will have two lovely loveseats and two mochi pestles as well as two gyroids: the Slim Quazoid and Tall Quazoid (as with all villagers, the items in her home may change throughout her duration in the town). She has the Lunar Horizon wall, and Moon Floor (both of which are extremely rare, and through independent circumstances, are only obtainable from Saharah), which are apart of the space-themed furniture, which relates to her Japanese name, Luna. She will not initially own any of the music-playing pieces of furniture (i.e. a Tape Deck, Retro Stereo, etc.), but after obtaining one, she will play K.K. Ska.
