Flowers

Here's a gameplay question: do flowers really help revive grass? I've read somewhere (from this wiki as well?) that flowers don't help, but they serve as a "don't step on" sign, but here is this article, stating that flowers help regrow grass 5 times faster. The contradictory information is confusing me, so I'm hesitating to remove the information about flowers not aiding growth. But, I'd also like to mention that, previously, this article is written poorly, so I rewrote it based upon my interpretation. Such a consequence for careless writing.
