The shanty mat is a rug item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. As a rug item, it can be placed inside the houses of villagers, the player, Photopia on Harv's Island, a vacation home in Happy Home Paradise, or in the Room Sketch app.

The shanty mat can be obtained from Saharah either by selecting the "Large rug" option when Saharah is visiting the player's island for 2,000 Bells or from Saharah's Co-Op on Harv's Island for 2,400 Bells.

This item appears as a furniture item in the homes of Avery, Croque, Gaston, Huck, Plucky, Ricky, Tad, and Tucker.
