Signing comments
Hey there! Welcome to Nookipedia (again), and great job so far! Just a quick tip that when signing comments on talk pages, use four tildes (~~~~). This places both your username and a timestamp on the page. Feel free to ask me or any other staff members for any more help (or consider posting at the Community Fountain to get help from the general community). Thanks, ~SuperHamster Talk 18:27, July 14, 2014 (EDT)
Mario's Reply
Usually, in a section title, the only letters you should capitalize are the first one and proper nouns.
I'm not sure if it's necessary to create pages on every group of furniture. I think it's better to create articles of groups of furniture. As for uncategorized items, we can put them in a very decentralized "theme" article, although that would be very time consuming.
If you have access to the e-guide of the game (look it up in the official site; sign in, register, and input a code if you need to; the code is found somewhere in the middle of the book), there's no need to scan the page. Just browse through the guide, right click on the image, and save the image to upload it here. Easy, but time-consuming.
Thanks for asking! I hope I helped. ™ 19:40, July 14, 2014 (EDT)
- Thanks for the reply. I was actually referring to items from the first Animal Crossing game, not ACNL. I also have the guide to Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk so I could scan those guides for item images as well. --sunmarsh (talk)
- Oh, gotcha. Does Prima have e-guides for Wild World and City Folk? It would spare you a lot of scanning if they did. ™ 19:52, July 14, 2014 (EDT)
- I don't believe that they started e-guides until after the guide for City Folk was published, so no. Besides, e-guides weren't as widely used back then as they are now? Come to think of it, did Prima even have a guide for Wild World. I have the Nintendo Power guide for Wild World, not Prima. --XXSuperXXNintendoXx (talk) 02:38, July 15, 2014 (EDT)
- Hm, maybe you're right. I guess scans would have to do, but if you're able to obtain screenshots from, say, an emulator, the more the better. ™ 16:19, July 15, 2014 (EDT)

Multiple Edits
Hello! I noticed you've been making a lot of edits to the same page over a short time. Doing this puts a large strain on our server and clogs up the recent changes. So instead of saving a lot, use the "show preview" button next to the "save page" button. It'll allow you to view your edit for any mistakes so you don't have to make a lot of fixing edits or additional ones! Additionally, it will help to reduce the workload of the staff who have to patrol each and every edit. Thanks! :) --XXSuperXXNintendoXx (talk) 16:33, July 15, 2014 (EDT)
- Sorry about that! I didn't realize that the Sandbox page was viewable to everyone... although I'm sure that's not the only page where I've been guilty of this. ^^; I'll do my best to keep the edit count to a minimum. --sunmarsh (talk) 16:40, July 15, 2014 (EDT)
Autopatrol
Hé, considering your great recent contributions, you have been promoted to trustee status! It means that you're trusted enough that we don't need to patrol your edits. I hope you keep up your great work here, especially on that Acre article. :) ™ 22:42, July 15, 2014 (EDT)
Staff?
Hey sunmarsh - love the work you've done so far. I think you're definitely ready to join the staff team as a Patroller, if you so desire. Just let me know and I'll be happy to nominate you. Thanks, ~SuperHamster Talk 09:42, July 31, 2014 (EDT)
- That sounds great! Thanks so much; I'll be sure to do my best. :D *Copper salute* --sunmarsh (talk) 14:56, July 31, 2014 (EDT)
- I'll support the nomination, that's for sure. ™ 15:03, July 31, 2014 (EDT)
- I would definitely support the nomination too, as you've shown through your edits and past projects that you have a vast knowledge on the technical aspects of the series, which is something the majority of players know nothing about. --XXSuperXXNintendoXx (talk) 15:39, July 31, 2014 (EDT)
- Great! Nomination placed at Nookipedia:Staff/Apply. ~SuperHamster Talk 15:40, July 31, 2014 (EDT)

- You have been promoted to patroller. Congratulations! --Jake 14:04, August 7, 2014 (EDT)
- Awesome! Thank you everyone for your support & positive feedback. :) Is there a page somewhere that lists Patroller responsibilities more in-depth (other than Nookipedia:Patrollers)? Perhaps with guidelines/suggestions on when it's appropriate to use patroller-specific abilities? --sunmarsh (talk) 15:55, August 7, 2014 (EDT)
- Hrmm...not that I know of. But to give a quick run-down, the two biggest tools you have are deleting and protecting pages. You can delete pages that obviously shouldn't exist (e.g. files that will never be used, new articles that aren't about anything significant, etc.). Any other page should still go through the normal discussions before deleting. As for protecting pages, that's typically done if a page is repeatedly being vandalized, or a template is widely used across the site.
- So yep...basically, just use your best judgement :) Being voted in for staff means we trust your judgement. But feel free to ask any questions at any time! ~SuperHamster Talk 22:36, August 7, 2014 (EDT)
- You can always post any questions you may have on the Staff Forum or send either (or both of us) a PM. And remember, there isn't a single mistake you can make that can't be undone, so don't be afraid to use your new permissions as you see fit. As SuperHamster said, we trust your judgement with this. --Jake 13:38, August 8, 2014 (EDT)

Project Furniture Request
Hey, this is Marcus(talk), Can I be project furniture? I really think I can help! Thanks!--Marcus 18:18, October 1, 2014 (EDT)
- I've added you. Please remember to use the Preview tab (or the Show Preview button) prior to submitting edits. Every edit you make must be patrolled (aka checked for accuracy/appropriateness) because you are a new member. The more minor edits you make, the more posts we have to patrol. -sunmarsh (talk) 18:59, October 1, 2014 (EDT)
- so I am now in project furniture? Awesome! Thank you so much! --Marcus (talk) 17:30, October 2, 2014 (EDT) and how do you make an image appear for my project furniture account?--Marcus (talk) 17:34, October 2, 2014 (EDT)
- To add an image to your project furniture profile, you simply edit the page and add it to the appropriate location. I can do this for you if you'd like. First, the image needs to be uploaded to the wiki; you can do so here. Alternatively, we can use a pre-existing image which you can view or search for here. -sunmarsh (talk) 18:09, October 2, 2014 (EDT)

Can this be my picture? Thanks! Also, is there any pages that need help with editing involving project furniture for me to help with? --Marcus (talk) 21:39, October 2, 2014 (EDT)
- Yes, if you look on the Project Furniture page, there are lists of Series, Themes, Sets etc. that need work (purple and grey boxes). To get an idea of what the final result should look like, take a look at the already completed pages in the green boxes (clicking the edit button on one of those pages to see the wikitext/templates used may be helpful). Remember to conform to Nookipedia guidelines in regard to item capitalization (see here). --sunmarsh (talk) 13:25, October 3, 2014 (EDT)
Ok, thanks!
Re:Meeting request
Yeah, we could do with a collaboration of some sort, because some of our projects are of incomprehensible scale and working as a team makes things more efficient. But I don't know if a chatroom would work. I may be online earlier than you. However, I am quite interested in reviving the other projects (like Project Furniture was), and utilizing the talk pages and forum for some of our discussions. I'll wait for more input on this, and thanks for bringing this up (the workload on me was rather large so I've took a slight break). Red Snapper 14:31, October 6, 2014 (EDT)
- Glad to hear you're interested. I've posted my thoughts over at the Community Fountain if you'd like to collaborate. (talk) 19:50, October 6, 2014 (EDT)
Signature help
Hey sunmarsh, how do you change your signature to look cooler like yours?--Marcus (talk) 21:21, October 7, 2014 (EDT)
- Navigate to your Preferences page. In the Signature section, check the box "Treat signature as wikitext (without an automatic link)". My name is actually an image that I created. You can use wikitext to change font color and size, however the signature field only allows a certain amount of characters, so to get the effect I wanted I applied the font, color and size I wanted in a text editor, took a screenshot, and then uploaded the text as an image which I link to in my signature.
- The wikitext for my signature is: [[File:Sunmarshsignature.png|link=User:Sunmarsh]] '''<small><span style="font-variant:small-caps">([[User_talk:Sunmarsh|<span style="color:#7B7B7B">talk</span>]])</span></small>''' Hey sunmarsh, thanks for the help with signatures! How does mine look? ;) -- 16:30, October 10, 2014 (EDT)
The golden Marcus award
Hey sunmarsh! I have made my own reward, similar to the Golden Leaf Award! I call it the Golden Marcus award. You are such a great editor that I have decided to give the award to you! So, you have won the Golden Marcus Award! --Marcus (talk) 21:26, October 8, 2014 (EDT)
- Thanks Marcus, I really appreciate it. :) (talk) 11:06, October 10, 2014 (EDT)
Table Templates
Hey sunmarsh. Hope all is well! I just wanted to say thank you for all of the work you've put into fixing up the table templates. The syntax looks a lot better, and the colored MIA images are a nice touch. I know you must have put a lot of time and effort into getting it all set up and working (at least 36 hours over the last week, according to the server), and I just wanted to make sure your work doesn't go unappreciated. I'm making you the first ever Honored Member Special Nomination. Thanks again! :) --Jake 15:34, July 1, 2015 (EDT)
- Thanks so much for the kind words, it means a lot. :) If you or anyone has any suggestions for improvements do let me know. As versatile as the templates may be I'm no expert- mostly trial and error. Got to get our item tables in shape- I'm sure we'll have a bunch more to add come September.
