Move request[edit]

Closing discussion in favor of move to Template:Film. Consensus was reached that "Film" is a clearer name than "AM" when referring to Doubutsu no Mori (film). ~ AlexBot2004 (Talk) 14:10, September 22, 2020 (EDT)

I propose this template be moved to a more clear and easy to understand acronym. "AM" doesn't even relate to Doubutsu no Mori (film) ("Animal Movie" maybe?) and could be confused with {{AMF}}, so I propose we move it to {{DnMf}} or something else that clearly identifies the subject. ~ AlexBot2004 (Talk) 14:06, August 9, 2020 (EDT)

I think AM is supposed to stand for 'Animal Crossing Movie', but I agree that it's unclear and confusing. I would vote for {{DnMfilm}} to make the name even more clear, since DnMf is not a commonly used abbreviation, but I'm fine either way. Sunmarshsignature.png (talk) 18:54, August 15, 2020 (EDT)
How about just {{Film}}? Keeps it simple while still clearly conveying meaning, and it seems unlikely there's going to be another one any time soon. --Shark HHD Icon.png Dorsal Axe (talk) 19:07, August 15, 2020 (EDT)
That works for me. I would assume the same (that there won't be another film made, especially given covid), but I imagine Nintendo will do *something* special for AC's 20th bday next year, right? Perhaps I shouldn't get my hopes up. Sunmarshsignature.png (talk) 20:12, August 15, 2020 (EDT)
{{Film}} works for me too. I don't see them making another movie in the foreseeable future, but if they do we could just move the template again. ~ AlexBot2004 (Talk) 15:40, September 5, 2020 (EDT)
I definitely Support Support {{Film}} as the template. Bones NH Villager Icon.png TDCBox2.png TDCTalk2.png 08:54, September 19, 2020 (EDT)
