Use of old vs. current star sign icons.

Are these old Star sign icons still needed, or should pages that use them have them replaced with the corresponding NH Icons? Milifilou (talk) 12:28, May 15, 2020 (EDT)

These icons should be phased out, as the NH icons are much cleaner and more recognizable. I believe these may be placed in pages due to outdated Infobox code, or by manual insertion. You want to check the File Usage section figure out which of these is the case and make sure all the affected pages are using the updated icons. I have a feeling these icons are not ripped directly from their source and are actually photoshopped, but I'm not quite sure. We would want to keep the original sprites to show the progression of star sign imagery/importance throughout the series. (talk) 23:02, May 18, 2020 (EDT)

I've looked into the template for villagers and special characters, turns out they still use the outdated {{{sign|}}}.png instead of Starsign {{{sign|}}} NH Icon.png|25px in a couple of places, namely all of the Special template, all instances of sign2, and what I think is the case when only a sign, but no birthday is know. I have read something about Special being restricted in its talk page , and guessing from how often Villager is used it probably is as well, so I won't be able to fix them. Is there an indicator of edit restriction other than the message you receive upon failed edit? --Milifilou (talk) 12:37, May 19, 2020 (EDT)
