Make user box

Where do I put my user box after I make one?

How do you exactly make it? The page doesn't say much on how to make it?

I generally edit just the raw coding, which looks like this

{{Userbox
|id       = Image file or text in the left box
|id-c     = Color of the left box
|id-fc    = If text, color of the text
|id-s     = id text size
|info     = Text in the right box (usually, "This user is [blah blah blah]").
|info-c   = Background color of the right box
|info-fc  = Text color in the right box
|info-s   = Size of the text (usually 8)
|border-c = Border color
|border-s = Size of the border
}}

Once you're done, you then create a page entitled "Template:UB (subject)". Keep in mind that the userboxes we have right now do not use the UB prefix, but that's before we agreed to add the prefix in the first place. You also do not have to create a separate page, as inputting just this coding into a userbox tower will do the same thing. ™ 15:49, October 26, 2015 (EDT)

Outdated French Flag

Hello, I saw that in the following userbox:

This user is French.

The Tricolore uses the old color scheme; the new one uses the same blue as the EU flag, to avoid contrast since both flags are often flown together. Just thought it was something I'd bring to attention, not knowing how to modify userboxes. Thanks, Briky 11:59, February 28, 2024 (EST)

Most of our image use (or at least, regarding the flags) is straight up from Wikipedia... As the Wikipedia page for France still uses the Tricolore, as you call it, I decided to ask a few friends of mine to look into the matter. Thank you for that (By the way, if you didn't know, Tricolore means "Three Colors" in French)! Though I'm pretty sure the reason it hasn't changed is that the president has been using it a lot lately, even replacing the ones hanging from the Elysée Palace, though officially, the flag hasn't been changed. So I heard back from my friends and.. Apparently, this has been a point of contention on Wikipedia for a long while, too. The english page for the Flag of France has both flags, with the darker flag on top.. but the French page for the Drapeau de la France does not have the lighter flag..

Seems like this discussion won't be over any time soon, either. It seems both ways of the flag are actually official, so I will not be touching the flag userbox. My apologies! Perhaps you could persuade a mod to decide otherwise, but as it currently stands, not me. ^^; - Speedy ( Talk - Contributions - Log ) 12:20, February 29, 2024 (EST)
