Yes, most Wii games and accessories work with the Wii U. You will need to run the day one system update first in order to use the backwards compatibility with the Wii and transfer all of your Wii data over to the Wii U to ensure you have a good gaming experience. -mlnintendo97 13:19, 8 June 2013 (EDT)

Adding Mario Kart to the game list?

So I've been considering to add Mario Kart to the Wii U game list because Animal Crossing content is in there, but I'm unsure of certain things. Mario Kart 8 was released prior to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, apparently, but the DLC was released after the latter. In 2015, to be exact. So, I'm wondering, should we put Mario Kart 8 by the game's release date or the DLC's release date? Thanks. Starry Windy★ 05:39, August 1, 2023 (EDT)
