The Megaphone is a tool introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. The player can use it to locate villagers by holding down A and speaking their name into the Nintendo 3DS microphone, to which the villager will reply with a chat bubble. The Megaphone can also be used to wake up Gulliver when he washes up on the town's beach. If used when standing next to the animal being called, the animal will either wave or become angry/sad (depending on Friendship).
Limitations
- It cannot be used when online communications are active
- It cannot find villagers that are in houses or shops
- It cannot be used in Main Street

Purchase from Timmy and Tommy's stores (T&T Mart and higher) for 500 Bells.
