Shampoodle
Template:Infobox Shampoodle Shampoodle is a barber shop which is owned and run by Harriet the poodle. Shampoodle allows the player to change their hairstyle from their initial style to a new one, determined by answering a series of questions proposed by Harriet. Each hair style costs 3,000 Bells and only one style can be done per day. Shampoodle is open from 8am to 9pm.
Services
Animal Crossing
Shampoodle did not exist in Animal Crossing. The choice of selecting a different hairstyle was not possible, for the player always wore a cone hat (female) or viking hat (male).
Animal Crossing: Wild World
Shampoodle makes its first apperance in Animal Crossing: Wild World, appearing in the back of Nookington's - the final expansion of Tom Nook's store after a friend has bought one item from Nookway and 240,000 Bells has been spent in store. It is open from 8am to 11pm.
Animal Crossing: City Folk
In Animal Crossing: City Folk, Shampoodle has been moved to the City into its own building. It still follows the same basic functions as in Wild World, except now the player is given the opportunity to buy a Mii Mask which is styled on a Mii from the Mii Channel. The Mii style is free, but only one design can be held at any given time. It is open from 8am to 9pm, and should not be confused with a different type, where Nookington's in Wild World opens differently to City Folk, despite Shampoodle now being in the City.
Mii Mask
The Mii Mask can be worn as a mask by selecting "Hat" when determining the placement of the design. Accessories cannot be worn with the mask, such as glasses, flowers in the hair, hats and so forth.
The first Mii Mask is free but subsequent ones cost 3000 Bells. A way to avoid this is to change the Mii itself in the Mii Channel. This will update the Mii in any game that uses it.
Wild World Hairstyles
There are two different types of hairstyles for males and females. After each hairstyle has been acquired, the player can be given the option to have styles from the opposite gender. Head accessories and garments can change the style, but once these are removed it is reverted back to normal.
