Train station
The Train Station is a location in Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival, Animal Crossing and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. The train station is run by Porter, a monkey. In Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk, the Train Station was replaced by the Town Gate.
Appearances
Animal Crossing
The player arrives via train at the start of a new game and exits at the train station. If the player goes to the train station with a second Memory Card that contains Animal Crossing data, or at least three blocks in the second Card, they will be able to travel to another town.
Traveling the first way
If the second Memory Card has Animal Crossing save data, the player will travel directly to the other town.
Traveling the second way
If the second Memory Card does not have save data, but does have at least three free blocks, the player's data (appearance, Bells, items, etc.) will be saved to the Memory Card, and the game will return to the title screen. If this Card is inserted into a GameCube that also has a Memory Card with Animal Crossing save data inserted, the player will enter that town. To return home, the player inserts the Memory Cards containing the home town and the player's character into a GameCube. This method allows the player to take their character with them to another location(such as a friend's house) and visit a town there.
On Saturday nights, K.K. Slider can be found sitting on the stool outside the train station from 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
The Train Station makes a comeback in Animal Crossing: New Leaf where it is once again run by Porter. It replaces the Town Gate and is still up the top of the town.
