− | So I just discovered this new, embarrassing-looking glitch in {{HHP}}, and I saw it in a video uploaded by this YouTuber named SwitchForce. This glitch is so weird I am in shock. Apparently this bug causes villagers to WEAR NO CLOTHES AT ALL?! This is the strangest bug I've ever seen in ANY Animal Crossing game. I don't know what causes this bug because it happens at random times. Many other Animal Crossing fans were shocked to see this bug. I hope Nintendo fixes this insane glitch in version 2.0.4!! (even though some people want this glitch to stay that way...) --[[User:SC-750|SC-750]] ([[User talk:SC-750|talk]]) 12:32, December 4, 2021 (EST) | + | So I just discovered this new, embarrassing-looking glitch in {{HHP}}, and I saw it in a video uploaded by this YouTuber named SwitchForce. There are many glitches missing here, but rather than add to one very long list, does anyone think we should create a separate glitch page for each game? Red Snapper 13:51, April 17, 2014 (EDT)
- The page itself is not very long, and there aren't a lot of Animal Crossing games to begin with, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to create separate pages since the presentation and organization is much better. We still need this page as a portal to other glitches, and we probably need to create a navigation template per game, but it's feasible, and I suggest you go ahead and do it. - Okay. I'll make some glitch pages when I have time. Red Snapper 15:50, April 18, 2014 (EDT)
- I think the best option at this point would be separate all the glitches in the article under sections by their game, along with adding any missing glitches. If the page is very long at that point, then it could be worth looking into splitting the page into several smaller ones. ~SuperHamster Talk 18:51, April 19, 2014 (EDT)

Two glitch pages?
The wiki also has a guide page on Easter Eggs, Glitches, and Secrets. Will the same information on glitches be listed on both pages? I suppose that we could provide a short description of glitches here with instruction on how to perform them on the guide page? Also, how does one differentiate between a 'secret' and a 'glitch'? To tell the difference one must assume the intentions of the game creators (a secret is an intentional inclusion, a glitch is not), however there are some things that are not clear cut, such as the fact that saved mail is not deleted when you remake your town on ACGC. The designers could have included this to make it easier for people to carry over wanted items to a new town. --sunmarsh (talk) 12:32, July 18, 2014 (EDT)
- Excellent points - our glitch pages are very much in need of updating. Here're my two cents:
- This glitch page should offer a gameplay overview of all glitches throughout the series, while the guides should offer specific instructions on how to perform the glitches.
- The guide page could probably be split into separate guide pages for each games.
- I agree about the secrets vs. glitches deal - I think it would be better to have two separate guides, one for glitches, and one for secrets/Easter eggs.
- As for the gray-area glitches, we can iron those out later. For the letter glitch, I'd say that's almost certainly an oversight, since it kind of breaks a fourth wall by carrying over letters, but I'm sure it's debatable. Thanks for bringing this up! ~SuperHamster Talk 00:11, July 20, 2014 (EDT)
- Not quite sure what you mean by providing a 'gameplay overview' on this page. If you could elaborate I'd appreciate it. I agree about the glitches vs. secrets/Easter egg guide. Once the original guide page is more fleshed out I'll separate everything. --sunmarsh (talk) 22:36, July 25, 2014 (EDT)
- I think SuperHamster meant this by talking about how glitches affect gameplay in general. But, that's my guess. ™ 23:40, July 25, 2014 (EDT)
- Yep, basically - thanks Mario. To elaborate, gameplay = talking about what the glitch it and what it does, along with a brief overview of how it's done. The guide could elaborate more on how it's done, with step-by-step instructions, and pictures if needed. ~SuperHamster Talk 01:58, July 26, 2014 (EDT)

Minor New Leaf glitch
Okay, this just happened to me while I was playing New Leaf. It's not a major glitch, but I think it should be logged on this page.
I planted some white roses near a path. A few minutes later, Ankha walked up and planted some yellow roses right on top of the white ones I planted. They still looked like white roses from afar, but as I walked on the roses, they briefly flashed yellow. When I picked them up, they had somehow turned into yellow roses.
Has anyone else experienced this glitch? Or is it just me? 108.228.105.22 12:08, August 31, 2014 (EDT)
Miniature Tree not a glitch
No, the miniature tree "glitch" is really something the development team planned so that they're weren't glitches with the trees. It is definitely not a glitch. Can I take it off?--Marcus (talk) 09:30, October 4, 2014 (EDT)
Return of the villagers glitch
On Main Street, I met a villager who had moved out last year. She acted as if she was still living in the town! Could this be a glitch? NO VIOLINS 09:55, November 1, 2014 (EDT)
- Are you referring to ACCF or ACNL? I'm not familiar with how Main St. works in ACCF. In ACNL old villagers may show up on Main St. until you have cycled out 16 villagers since they moved. Since this process varies and can take a long time, there isn't really a time limit on how long they can stay there. (talk) 13:41, November 3, 2014 (EST)
