::::About that. Shouldn't the info about being autoconfirmed also be on that welcome message template thingy?

Welcome!

Welcome to Nookipedia, Yabobay!

We're glad that you've chosen to create an account! You are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Animal Crossing encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some things to keep in mind when editing pages:

  • Read our wiki's editing, general use, and privacy policies.
  • Create your user page! Your user page is your own personal space to put anything you want.
  • Make effective edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't 'edit war', or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links and tutorials, please see the help pages.

If you're looking for some place to start, why not check out the Community Fountain? Here you will find current events and things to do.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask a wiki staff member, or at the Community Fountain talk page. We're always happy to help! Have a great time! -- Nookipedia Staff

Villagers with props

Hello Yabobay, welcome to the site. Smily.png I appreciate your willingness to help out here and get started with hotcat (I don't even know how to use that thing... so props to you lol!). I'm curious though what your intentions are for the category. It seems very idiosyncratic and I'm not sure how helpful it would be internally or to readers. As for the name, maybe 'Villagers with nonstandard models' or 'Villager with exceptional models' Sunmarshsignature.png (talk) 10:02, October 13, 2019 (EDT)

Well, I thought it'd be one of those TIL moments. That's what this whole site is about for me. Like "Eugene has glasses? The other koalas don't have glasses, who else is like that?"
I'll put the title "Villagers with nonstandard models", and remove the to-do also.
Never mind! I have no clue how to edit the title of a page.

Thanks for the explanation, I get it now. The page needed to be moved, and only users with a certain permissions level are able to do that. A page's title can't really be changed, though it can be modified using {{DISPLAYTITLE:Desired title}}-- that wasn't appropriate in this case, however. I've used Special:ReplaceText to correct the category link on the villager pages.. These edits go through the job queue and are performed when the server load is low so you may not see them go through immediately. Sunmarshsignature.png (talk) 11:32, October 13, 2019 (EDT)
Just want to add to sunmarsh's comment above; you have to be autoconfirmed (7 days and 10 edits) to change the title of a page. Happy editing! Drago (talk) Drago PC Villager Icon.png 11:35, October 13, 2019 (EDT)
