Hacked Villagers are villagers that have been hacked. There are many tools used to hack villagers and change their:
- Name
- Initial Catchphrase
- Initial Clothing
- Initial Umbrella
- Textures
- Initial House Furniture
- Initial Wallpaper
- Initial Flooring
- Initial Music
- Personality
- Birthday

In Animal Crossing: City Folk, the tool used is known as Animal Villager Customization (NPC_Tool)
