The ripe tomato plant is an item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduced in the 2.0 Free Update. The plant produces tomatoes for the player to pick. By default, only one tomato is produced, but up to three tomatoes can be produced if a watering can is used.
The ripe tomato plant can be obtained from growing a tomato start or a tomato. The plant can be relocated by digging it up.
In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Admiral, Benjamin, Boots, Dora, Groucho, Ketchup, Limberg, and Lyman.
