Time Capsules are items in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, unlike most items, Time Capsules are carried in the Letter slots. Villagers may ask you to bury it sometimes. When you do, the next day the star mark will desappear. When the star mark reveals its self a couple days after dig it up, then give it to the villager who asked you to bury it. Also, When you still have it, you may read it and take the item inside, if you do, they will get mad and take the Capsule back.
