Wii Speak is an add-on accessory to the Wii. It was meant to be used for the Wii Speak Channel but also can be used in Animal Crossing: City Folk, while visiting other players towns. This is one way to communicate in the game. If other people do not have the Wii Speak they can still hear other players and can still communicate by using a USB keyboard.
It was released in North America on November 16, 2008[1] and in Europe on December 5, 2008.[2]
