I set up a move request because "kitsune" is just the Japanese word for "fox", unlike the [[tanuki]], which is a real and distinct species from the raccoon. This was even pointed out on [[Talk:Redd|Redd's talk page]] a decade ago, and it doesn't seem like anything was done about it. Even if there's a mythological aspect to ''kitsune'', for all intents and purposes, Redd doesn't really have any supernatural aspects associated with him. What do you think? It's absolutely clear that Redd is an actual fox (just like Tom is an actual raccoon-dog), whereas it's not so clear that Kapp'n is a turtle. Support the precedent is to go with whatever name is used in English, regardless of whether it's the same species or not (see Alligator vs Crocodile). The original Japanese name is already documented in an appropriate manner.
