Tortimer in front of the town fountain.

The Fountain is a landmark in both the town and in the city. In Animal Crossing: City Folk, if an additional 500,000 Bells are donated to the town fund after a bridge has been built, a fountain will be built in front of the Bus Stop after one week. Serena inhabits this fountain.

A fountain is also in the City, where Phineas will be near and villagers will roam.

Serena as she appears in the fountain.

Also if the player has a regular axe and throws it into to the fountain Serena will appear and ask questions like what type of axe you threw in and if she is acting like a good goddess or not. She will also remark on if she's "goddess-y." If you answer the questions in a certain way she will give you a gold or silver axe. This may come from a Korean story/legend.It the story,an old man accidentally lost an ax in a lake.He was crying because he was a poor woodcutter and cutting down trees was his only livelihood.Suddenly a goddess appears in the lake and asks what kind of ax he lost.He said it was only ax made of wood and iron. The goddess was impressed by his truthful answer and rewarded him with a gold ax.When he returned home, his jealous and ambitious cousin heard and went to the lake.He deliberately threw an ax in the lake. The same goddess appeared. She questioned him about his ax.He said it was an ax made of solid gold, when in truth,it was a simple ax.The goddess was disgusted by his lying and swam down. When he returned he found everything he owned.
