The arapaima (ピラルク, Piraruku) is a fish that appears in every game in the Animal Crossing series. It is a very rare fish, and is tied with the arowana for the second-most expensive freshwater fish at 10,000 Bells, after the stringfish, dorado, and golden trout. Its shadow size is huge, and it is the largest freshwater fish. It is found in rivers from 4 PM - 9 AM from mid summer to early fall prior to Animal Crossing: New Horizons; in New Horizons, its seasonality is extended to include all of summer to early fall.
